Chemplast Cuddalore Vinyls Ltd (CCVL) made a donation of Rs.10.56 Lakh towards procurement of Medical and Surgical equipment for the District Hospital, Cuddalore - April 2020.
CCVL distributed 20,000 kg rice to Semmankuppam, Thiyagavalli and Sadapalayam panchayats, during May 2020 and twenty villages benefitted from the distribution.
Chemplast Cuddalore Vinyls Limited contributed Rs. 5 lakhs towards development of a playground and park for children at the Armed Reserve Police Quarters, Cuddalore - February 2020.
Financial contribution of Rs 3 lakh was extended by Chemplast Cuddalore Vinyls Limited towards infrastructure development of schools at Chitrapet Village. The cheque was handed over on 27 April 2019 to Chitrapet village Panchayat heads.
A dengue awareness programme was conducted at Chemplast Cuddalore for employees at the Cuddalore plant. Joint Director, Industrial and Safety Division, Cuddalore R Rajasekhar, Deputy Director, Health Department, Cuddalore KR Jawahar and District Malaria Officer C Palanichami, participated in the programme. More than 200 employees took part. Nilavembu Kudineer was distributed. Also a pledge to keep surroundings clean as part of the Swachh Bharat Mission was undertaken.

December 2015, the Coromandel Coast region of South India saw an unprecedented flooding as a result of heavy rainfall. Citizens banded together to rescue others stranded in their homes as the water levels rose to alarming levels. The storm brought life to a standstill and almost everyone experienced some kind of loss.
Sanmar rose up to the need of hour like always and distributed 50 Tonnes of rice bags to the flood affected families at Cuddalore and Karaikal. Many Sanmarites from day one of the calamity provided support to people in their neighborhoods, in different ways - physical help, food and providing a place to stay. Many worked with volunteer groups. Closer home, at Sanmar, we did a quick appraisal of the extent to which our colleagues in Chennai (and Cuddalore) had been affected by the floods. Some 38 families suffered moderate to severe damage by the onslaught, while ten of them were very severely hit. The Group’s immediate financial assistance to a large number of employees in Chennai and Cuddalore came as a big relief to many who needed immediate financial help. The Group has also provided assistance to some employees who suffered moderate to severe damage.
Cyclone 'THANE' ravaged Tamil Nadu & Puducherry inundating cities, towns and villages. Chemplast Sanmar's PVC Plant at Cuddalore withstood the severe winds that blew with a speed of over 140 kmph. In the aftermath of the floods, Chemplast Sanmar helped the district administration by providing drinking water from its desalination plant to the local community. Chemplast also distributed rice and food packets providing means to a square meal till the waters abated in the villages around Cuddalore.

Chemplast Cuddalore has opened an evening tuition centre at Nochikadu village. This centre was inaugurated by J Sridhar, Chemplast Plant Head at Cuddalore, in the presence of local village leader Dhakshinamoorthy.
As part of infrastructure development in schools, J Sridhar, Chemplast Sanmar, Cuddalore handed over furniture to two government Schools — at Chitrapet and Thiyagavalli Panchayat, Cuddalore, in the presence of former Panchayat President Velmurugan.
Every year, Chemplast Sanmar spends around Rs.3 lakh for supporting children in Chitrapet and Semmankuppam villages located around Cuddalore, enabling them to receive better quality education.

“Bio Diversity Express”, a science exhibition was conducted at Port Junction, Cuddalore, by the Department of Science, Technology and Environment, Puducherry. Chemplast Sanmar, Karaikal, facilitated 90 students to visit the exhibition by providing transportation as well as lunch and snacks, in coordination with Pollution Control officials at Karaikal.
Chemplast Sanmar maintains three Rural Healthcare centres at Chitrapet, Nochikadu and Semmankuppam villages, located around Cuddalore. On an average 2,000 people get free and better health care every month from these health centres.

Donation of Air-conditioners to the Burns Ward at the Government General Hospital, Cuddalore
Chemplast Sanmar participated in a multi-speciality health camp organised by the Cuddalore district administration in partnership with the Government Hospital and Private Medical Colleges at Karaikadu village in the SIPCOT area. Chemplast sponsored food arrangement for the Medical team.
Around 90 toilets were constructed at Chitrapet village, Cuddalore for improving the sanitary conditions in the village.
